A Relaxing Christmas Break

My Christmas break this year was spent mainly at home relaxing with family, friends, and my pets.  As soon as I got home, my parents and I went out and got a tree and then decorated it that night.  That weekend I also went to Emily's house for her Ugly Christmas Sweater Party.  My mom had helped me find a sweater at a thrift store. It was red with cats on it (photo below) and we dressed it up with lights.  I thought it was pretty snazzy and pretty thrifty.  Also during my Christmas break my parents, Mimi, and I took a trip to the U.P. just after New Years.  We had a little bit of a complication getting there as we had to wait for 4-5 hours to go across the Mackinaw bridge due to severe winds.  That was an adventure!  But overall we had a nice trip in the Yoop, but decided summer vacations are a lot easier to travel.  While in the U.P., though I enjoyed the winter with some skiing and playing in the snow.  All in all it was a nice 3 weeks at home, much needed after stressful finals at college.
