So Long Sophmore Year!

Two days ago I wrapped up my Sophomore year at Aquinas.  A year full of all new surprises, adventures, and unforgettable memories.  It was a year where I felt more settled, more at home with my Aquinas family, and more at peace with the school I chose.  I got more opportunities to explore, to bond, and to discover more of what Grand Rapids and AQ have to offer me and the world.  So here I am celebrating summer and a sophomore year that was a wild and unforgettable ride.  Here is my so long to a memorable year that I hope to embrace for years to come.
So long to K house and to the 8 roommates who I had to learn to communicate and share with.  So long to nights of studying Plant Taxonomy and Microbiology.  So long to the spontaneous spoonlickers runs with my roomies and seeing dozens of fellow AQ students when we arrived.  So long to chiropractor appointments that helped me get through the year.  So long to the Meijer trips, to random trips to the mall, and to all the times I wished I was home in my own bed.  So long to the random dance parties and to the episode of ghetto Arthur that Regan, Jacklyn, Sophie, and I all watched.  So long to Spring Formal at city flats and to all the hard work that went into making it a success.  So long to another year of AQPB, providing students with the best events and working our hardest.
So long to Relay for Life and all the smiles and tears that took place there.  So long to heavy books, to papers that never seem to be done, and to pencils who always seem to run out of lead.  So long to the snow storms, random fire drills, and swipes from friends in wege.  So long to the funky squirrels, the beautiful trees, and the sweet smelling flowers.  So long to random rainy days, to the sunshine, and to the maintenance men who save the day when the shower gets clogged.  So long to the smell of broccoli on the stove, to days when your fan is a savior, and for mornings when you get angry at your roommate for leaving the window open.  So long to countless letters received, to all the stamps used, and for all those notebooks gone through for chemistry class.  So long to long days of class, to hideous lab goggle lines, and to all the club meetings.  So long to 8 am classes, to late professors, and to a long week of exams.
So long to a year that I made my own, a year where I discovered more of what my school has to offer me.  To a year where I thrived and embraced my friends and roommates, learned more about myself, and took three science classes.  To a year where I become more involved in Programming Board and accepted a coordinator position for next year.  To a great group of friends and parents who kept me going.  Looking back I realize how far I have come from my Freshman year and hope to keep growing and sharing all my thoughts from my journey.

So long Sophomore year and hello summer!
