Bringing Abby Home from Surgery

2 years post-surgery on Abby's front left leg, her cancer returned.  I was so devastated to see a lump return on my little kitty, as I have felt so bad putting her through surgeries, especially when she is so full of life. 

This summer Abby had her front leg amputated.  It was a tough decision to make, since most cats with amputated legs seem to have gotten in an accident that makes them unable to use the leg that is removed.  However, Abby got around with no problem, but we knew that was the best decision since there was no other way to get clear margins.

She went into surgery on June 9th and I was able to pick her up the next morning.  When I got home with her, I made her comfy on my bed with a towel as a blanket to keep her warm.  I kept her company the rest of the day and had a quiet weekend at home with her.
