Monday: If you could be any animal, what type of animal would you be and why?

If I could be any animal I wanted, I would want to be my cat, Abby.

Although it's a popular choice, I chose my cat because a minute ago I looked over my shoulder to see her sleeping on my bed. She looked very content.

Some of the perks of being Abby would be: Sleeping on any surface you feel like, having a regular toilet cleaner, having someone to serve you breakfast every morning, etc.
When you think about it, wouldn't it be lovely to take a catnap in a sunny window and get cuddles from your family members.?
Cats in general inspire me to be independent and confident, despite their laziness.
Here's the story of how I got Abby:

While I was living in lower Michigan, my Mom and I took my border collie Mimi through puppy class at the local pet store. It was a summer day and the last day of class when I saw a lady walk in with a tiny tabby kitten. I asked to pet the kitten. The lady told us she had found the kitten in a bush and rescued her. Basically the rest was history, We brought her home!
Abby was only about 5 weeks old. She stayed in the bathroom the first few days to get used to a litterbox, her food (which was dry kitten food with kitten milk). But eventually she moved into my room.

Abby is a wonderful cat, It was 4 years ago we brought her home. She is still my first and only cat and rules the house (don't all cats?). But even though she gets into trouble sometimes we all love her. :)

Ewww! - Just looked over again to find Abby cleaning herself. On second thought maybe I don't want to be a cat! Who wants to wash with their tongue down there??

  1. That is so cute! Your cat looks adorable... Does she have a scarf wrapped around her?

Before we got our dog, my rabbit used to be like your cat (with the exception that he lived in his cage). We used to let him run around the living room while we watched TV. When he got tired of running around, he would hop up on the fire place (it was nice and cool because it was made of bricks) and take a nice long nap. Animals have a wonderful, carefree life don't they?
