My Cousins are Irreplacable

All those quotes about cousins being your first playmates, your first friends, and hopefully one day your best friends have become true in my case.  I'm so incredibly grateful for all my cousins.  They are the ones you can talk to about how crazy your family is and they understand perfectly well.  And in my life, my cousins have been the siblings I've never had.  I don't see them very much, but when I do I am filled with tremendous joy, I laugh almost non-stop, and there is an almost permanent smile across my face.
Cousins are the ones you go through bad times with too, though.  I am so thankful to have cousins who have my back and I have theirs too.  I know I could count on them if I needed to.  We have so much fun together, but we also have a bond that can go through just about anything.

The picture above is of me and my cousins Hayley and Carley.  Hayley and I are only a year apart.  We've grown up together and shared many unforgettable experiences, including some that are a little embarrassing.  We are very close and savor every moment together.
I'm also extremely close to her sister, Carley.  Despite our age difference, Carley and I  have so much in common and never seem to run out of things to talk about.  I can't believe she's almost 13 now and before I know it I'll be out of my teens.  We have grown to be like sister and I am incredibly grateful for that.  I don't know I would do without her beautiful soul.  I feel as though I can tell her anything and she will listen and not judge me.  We are incredibly silly together, but can be serious too.
Having cousins has taught me so much and has given me lifelong friends.  I will cherish them forever and hope they know I love them to the moon and back.  My cousins make me smile, make me laugh, and most importantly let me be me.  And for that reason they can never be replaced.
