Togetherness Matters
People are irreplaceable and things are. The fact of the matter is we are all here on earth, so we might as well enjoy our time here and enhance each other's lives. My family and friends definitely add tremendous amounts of joy and love to my life. Oftentimes, we take these benefits we reap for granted. I, for one, am no different in that regard. However, I try my hardest to express gratitude and appreciation towards my loved ones as often as I can, while still remaining honest and maintaining my integrity.
Having a best friend like Emily has been a blessing in my life. I feel as though Emily and I treat each other like sisters and that we fill that hole in each other's hearts since we both don't have sisters. We have our times when we get annoyed by each other like I'm sure all people that are close do, but we are there for each other through thick and thin. Cruising around in my car, going to concerts, Chicago adventures, and any day with Emily creates memories I don't ever want to forget. I am a believer that laughter can be the best medicine and like the quote by Audrey Hepburn on the right says, laughter can cure a multitude of ills. And the best part is we don't even realize it until we are smiling without force. I think that is why finding someone that makes you laugh is so essential to our well-being. And if laughter makes us healthier then spending time with Emily should keep me healthy for a VERY long time.
With that being said, I urge you to go share a laugh, a smile, and maybe even a hug with someone you love today, and also don't forget that life is limited, so we must grab it by the reins while we're here and ride it to our heart's content. And we need to do it together, since all we truly have is each other.
