Thursday: Random Act of Kindness
This journal is about a Random Act of Kindness I have witnessed. I'd have say I've seen many acts of kindness throughout my life, especially when working with an animal shelter. I think no matter our status in life, whether it's rich, poor, homeless, helpless, we all have something to offer. Something to give, to share. Something that we take for granted that to someone else it is the difference between happiness and sadness, hunger, and starvation.
Off the top of my head I can't really think of an understanding story to share. But I do have one that may be considered a Random Act of Kindness.
It took place at the Friends For the Dearborn Animal Shelter's training center. Only a few months before they had gotten a stray white German Shepherd, who was pregnant. She delivered her puppies while in a foster home and soon the puppies and the mother were ready to be adopted.
Now during this Act of Kindness most the puppies already were adopted, or awaiting approval on their adoption applications. But on this day they were hosting a puppy class for the puppies and other puppies in foster homes.
The reason I consider this a Random Act of Kindness is because the puppies were going home but the shelter took the opportunity to socialize these puppies before they went home.
My favorite part of Random Act of Kindness is the fact that I got to hold and play with an adorable German Shepherd mix puppy with the sweetest eyes.
Can somebody say "Awwww!"..? :)
